Joseph Edlow, Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, spoke at the agency’s headquarters in Camp Springs, Maryland, highlighting the impact of this policy change. The new directive is seen as part of a broader strategy to control immigration patterns and manage the influx of green card applications more rigorously.
