Rep. John Larson, a Democrat from Connecticut, is running for reelection and facing a contested primary. Despite all five of Connecticut’s House members being up for reelection, Larson is the only one with a competitive primary battle.
Larson’s primary opponents include former Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin and two other candidates vying for the party’s nomination. Larson has garnered support from the state’s Democratic Senators, Richard Blumenthal and Chris Coons. Meanwhile, Bronin has received an endorsement from former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.
Recent polls indicate a close race between Larson and Bronin. Voters in the primary will make their choice as polls close at 8 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
