In a move that has fueled tensions, Israeli settlers have taken control of a home in Qusra, a village situated in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. The owner of the house, Loui Ridi, resides in Toledo, Ohio, and is unable to directly intervene.
Mo Ridi, a relative of Loui, informed NBC News that his family members are currently trapped inside the besieged house. Settlers have reportedly cut off access to essential utilities such as water and electricity, further escalating the situation.
The incident was highlighted by visuals showing Israeli settlers being pursued by an Israeli military vehicle around Palestinian homes in Qusra on Thursday. This event, captured by Zain Jaafar from AFP/Getty Images and reported on August 13, 2026, at 8:47 PM EDT, underscores the ongoing challenges in the region.
