Mar Acevedo, a retired public high school teacher, was among the early visitors on a recent hot morning. He positioned himself on a trail that overlooks the grassy marshes. He hoped for another encounter with the rare amphibian.
Acevedo first spotted the frog approximately a week ago. The tree frog’s unique blue coloration caught his eye in a small five-foot section of the park located near Telegraph Road.
The presence of this rare blue frog has become a point of interest for many in the area, fueling a surge of curiosity and admiration for the wonders of nature.
