Prince Harry and Meghan Return to the U.K.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to return to the United Kingdom with their children. Reports indicate that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will travel privately from California, avoiding public commentary on their plans. BBC News shared the couple’s intentions, though their representatives have not confirmed.

After six years in California, Harry and Meghan will continue their roles as non-working members of the royal family. They announced plans to settle in the Cotswolds region, offering a mix of royal tradition and privacy.

Since announcing their departure from royal duties in 2020, the pair aimed for financial independence. Their move to California created tensions within the royal family, but they are focused on launching a new charitable initiative and raising their children away from the spotlight.

Their son Archie, born in 2019, and daughter Lilibet, born in 2021, will start at a new school. Concerns about security have arisen, since Harry lost a legal battle in 2024 regarding his security detail in the U.K. Prime Minister Andy Burnham stated security arrangements are a private matter.

In addition to their family changes, Harry faced legal issues. A court ordered him and others to pay several million dollars over claims deemed unreasonable against the Daily Mail’s publisher.
