Following the concert, McGraw addressed the incident on Instagram, where he humorously acknowledged his fall and thanked fans for their support. “Cincinnati, you started our weekend off on the right foot even if I couldn’t stay on mine,” he jokingly wrote.

Fans expressed concern for his health in the comments, particularly due to McGraw’s known back issues. These health struggles have been significant, with McGraw revealing in 2025 that they nearly led him to consider retiring from music. His history includes four back surgeries and knee replacements, highlighting the extent of his physical challenges.

“I’ve had four back surgeries and double knee replacements, just in the last couple of years,” McGraw shared, explaining the severity of his condition.

During a past concert in California, McGraw spoke candidly about the toll his health had taken on him, mentioning his depression and thoughts of stepping away from music. With his surgeon in attendance, along with Faith Hill’s surgeon, he expressed gratitude for their help in improving his condition. Despite contemplating retirement, McGraw expressed relief that his health has improved and introduced a song inspired by these experiences, titled “King Rodeo.”
