The Netherlands is experiencing significant rail disruptions as authorities investigate suspected sabotage across the country’s rail network. ProRail, the national rail operator, reported the discovery of materials intentionally placed on tracks.
According to ProRail, these materials were found at various locations, indicating an act of sabotage. Local media highlighted that pipes had been placed on the tracks.
On Tuesday, there were at least 15 disruptions reported nationwide. Key routes, including those leading to Schiphol Airport and Utrecht, were affected. Police are actively investigating these incidents, although the cause remains unidentified.
