Presley Gerber, son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, has died at the age of 27. Cindy’s representative confirmed the news to Fox News Digital, requesting privacy for the family during this difficult time.
According to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner records, Gerber died on Sunday at a rehabilitation facility. An autopsy has yet to be completed.
Presley Gerber was the only son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber and had a sister, Kaia Gerber, who works as a model and actress.
Gerber candidly shared his struggles with mental health and addiction through social media and interviews. Kaia Gerber discussed her brother’s challenges with drug use in a Vogue cover story, highlighting his decade-long battle with addiction. She mentioned how such issues could impact a family and noted how she tried to become the ‘easy one’ to avoid adding to the family’s burden.
Presley’s openness about his struggles served as a lesson on the importance of speaking about mental health. Kaia expressed this to Vogue, emphasizing the difficulties in hiding such issues.
“There’s only so much you can hide from the world. And trying to put a lid on something just makes the person feel like you’re ashamed of them,” Kaia told Vogue.
Presley’s candidness reached his followers on social media. In December 2025, he shared his journey with mental health and medications, like Xanax and Valium, via an Instagram video which he later removed. Speaking to People magazine, he mentioned experiencing loss recently, which contributed to his situation.
He aimed to connect with others going through similar experiences, hoping to help people feel less isolated and seeking support for himself as well.
On the Studio 22 podcast in February 2023, Presley spoke of his mental health struggles, aiming to help others overcome similar challenges.
Presley was signed to IMG Models at age 15 and modeled for leading designer houses. He debuted in Moschino’s runway show in 2016 and featured in campaigns for Calvin Klein, Celine, Dolce & Gabbana, and Tommy Hilfiger.
Presley’s journey highlights the importance of openness in addressing mental health issues, demonstrating his commitment to helping himself and others.
