Washington Spirit Faces Challenges at Audi Field

The Washington Spirit faced yet another defeat, losing 1-0, marking their fifth home game loss at Audi Field since August. This recent performance has brought significant challenges for the team.

Recently, midfielder Mélissa Bethi and the Spirit have found it difficult to secure wins on their home ground. This is a notable shift from the past two years. In those seasons, the team successfully advanced through the NWSL playoffs to the championship game while staying at Audi Field. Securing the No. 2 seed in consecutive seasons allowed them to enjoy this home advantage.
