Plans to Build Permanent Fence at Lafayette Square Underway
Administration officials continue to explore plans for constructing a permanent fence around Lafayette Square, a public park situated across the street from the White House. This development follows eight months of closure enforced by President Donald Trump for renovations.
On Monday, workers began relocating sections of temporary fencing that had closed off parts of the park along H Street NW since January. Despite these efforts, the majority of the park remains inaccessible, with much of it still fenced off as of Monday afternoon.
