Ingraham Criticizes Democrats and Pop Stars Over ICE
Laura Ingraham’s Critique on ‘Anti-ICE Theater’
Laura Ingraham has expressed strong criticism of Democrats and some celebrities for what she deems as ‘anti-ICE theater.’ Her comments were prompted by a fatal ICE shooting in Maine, following with the Biden administration’s decision to halt vehicular stops—a decision swiftly reversed by former President Trump. Ingraham claims prominent Democrats like AOC and Gavin Newsom encourage illegal aliens to evade arrest, escalating the risk for ICE agents and American citizens.
Hayley Williams’ Controversial Remarks
During a recent concert, Hayley Williams, the lead singer of Paramore, drew backlash from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Williams, performing in Chula Vista, California, shouted “F— ICE!” and “Free motherf—— Palestine!” during her show. Her comments came while she performed the song “Ice in My OJ,” where she paused the lyrics to address the audience directly.
I got ice in my OJ, I’m a cold, hard b—–, F— ICE!
A lot of dumb motherf—— that I made rich.
Free motherf—— Palestine!
This prompted a DHS response, urging Williams to recognize the sacrifice and service of federal law enforcement officers. A spokesperson stressed the importance of appreciating the efforts of officers who ensure public safety.
Department of Homeland Security’s Response
The DHS spokesperson released a statement recommending Williams thank federal law enforcement for their service instead of criticizing them. The agency underscored their continual efforts to keep America safe.
“America is grateful all the time for our federal law enforcement officers who keep us safe,” the spokesperson stated. They suggested Williams acknowledge their work rather than disparage their sacrifices.
Williams’ Continued Activism
The remarks at Chula Vista were not an isolated incident. Throughout her 2026 tour dates, Williams has repeated anti-ICE and “Free Palestine” messages during live performances. The DHS has urged that she recognize the dangers ICE personnel face in their line of duty.
Statistics on Assaults Against ICE Personnel
According to the DHS, assaults against ICE personnel have significantly increased. From January 2025 to September 2026, there were 647 recorded assaults, a stark rise compared to 37 in the same period between 2021 and 2022. This marks a 1,649% increase in assaults against ICE agents.
Political Appeals and Criticism
Williams is known for using her platform to discuss political issues. During a 2024 performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, she spoke against President Donald Trump and Republican leaders, warning concertgoers about Trump’s presidential campaign. She encouraged Americans to band together to confront Trump at the polls.
Project 2025 is Donald Trump’s playbook for controlling and punishing women, poor people, people of color, and the LGBTQ+ community,” Williams stated. “It is time for all Americans to band together and to finally defeat the Trump agenda. And the only way to do that is by confronting him at the polls. Do you want to live in a dictatorship? Well, show up and vote.
Increasing Dangers for ICE Personnel
With rising assaults against ICE agents, DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin highlighted the growing dangers these officers face while executing immigration laws. Mullin claims the increase in assaults reflects the challenges within the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement strategy.
“The brave men and women of ICE, who are simply enforcing the laws mandated by Congress and protecting the American people, are under attack every single day,” Mullin said. “Since President Trump unleashed ICE to do their jobs, assaults against them have risen by more than 1,600% in the first year and a half of the administration.”
