Chad Lowe’s daughter, Mabel, is grieving the death of her younger sister Fiona. Mabel, 17, shared emotional images with Fiona on social media, expressing her heartbreak over the weekend.
Fiona, aged 13, passed away in a Los Angeles hospital on September 29, as confirmed by the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s office. Her death was ruled a suicide.
In a touching Instagram post, Mabel wrote, “I love you so much Fiona. I wish your short time here was easier and I hope your mind is at ease now. I will honor you forever and keep your memory alive. I love you, I hope you knew just how much.”
Many family friends extended their condolences. Actor Jeremy Renner expressed his sympathies, “Bless you, dear Mabel. My deepest condolences to you and the family.” Jessica Capshaw also shared her support, saying, “What a beautiful tribute to your sister. I have had you and your family in my thoughts and prayers and I’m sending you all so much love.”
The tragic news was confirmed by Chad Lowe and his wife, Kim Painter. Fiona was their middle child. The couple has maintained a relatively private family life.
The family released a statement provided to Page Six, “We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona. She was a loving young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance. She was adored by her sisters and deeply loved by her parents. She was the light of our lives.”
