Two teachers suffered gunshot wounds during student protests in France on Monday morning. The events occurred amid increasing unrest.
The National Education system reported that at least eight staff members sustained injuries. This number does not account for the principal of a middle school and a teacher who was shot with a shotgun in Aubagne.
“The violence is intensifying,” stated the education ministry. They noted that the violence is especially severe in the Créteil academy, as well as in the cities of Bordeaux and Lyon.
This story is ongoing, with more updates expected.
