The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a high-risk warning for dozens of salad products due to potential bacterial contamination. Made Fresh Salads, based in New York, initiated a recall in September. The recall affects all of its ready-to-eat deli-style salads, assorted cream cheese products, and half-size aluminum pans. This action followed concerns about contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.
The FDA classified the recall as Class I, which is the most severe risk level. This classification indicates a reasonable probability that using or being exposed to the product could lead to serious adverse health consequences or even death.
The recalled products were distributed across Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and New York City. They reached retail stores and distributors through direct delivery. The FDA has confirmed the details of the distribution.
Stay tuned for further updates as this situation continues to evolve.
