Man Dies in Mundelein Vehicle Crash
A tragedy occurred early Sunday when a man lost his life after his vehicle struck a brick structure in Mundelein. According to the Lake County Coroner’s Office, the deceased individual has been identified as Lukas Beelow, aged 31, a resident of Mundelein.
The coroner’s report revealed that Beelow died due to blunt force trauma. Mundelein police responded to a call about a loud noise near Chevy Chase Road and Hawley Street at approximately 2:08 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Beelow’s SUV had collided with a brick structure.
Authorities confirmed that Beelow was pronounced dead at the scene. The Mundelein Police Department and the Major Crash Assistance Team are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
