Aaron Rodgers, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, recently reconciled with his family after more than a decade of estrangement. His wife, Brittani, played a crucial role in bringing about this reunion. In a conversation with NFL Network’s Kyle Brandt, Rodgers disclosed details about his unexpectedly viral pictures with his parents and brother during their ‘bonding week’ last month.
Rodgers posted photos on Instagram with his father, Ed Rodgers, his mother, Darla Rodgers, and his brother, Luke Rodgers. During practice in Pittsburgh, Rodgers mentioned his gratitude towards Brittani, acknowledging her significant role in the reunion. ‘I’m happy to be reunited… I got to give my wife a lot of credit… just the way that she loves and supports me,’ Rodgers shared.
Having Brittani by my side during this process has been really special, and I miss those relationships. Reasons for the past estrangement don’t need to be public, but I’m grateful it has come full circle.
The reunion included Luke’s children, daughter Evie and son Jack. Rodgers opened up about being ‘very closed off’ regarding family matters and intends to maintain privacy in the future. He addressed a narrative he aimed to dispel by reconnecting with his family, spending a ‘long weekend’ in Nashville with them.
However, Aaron’s relationship with his other brother, Jordan Rodgers, remains uncertain. Known for exposing family issues, Jordan later appeared on ABC’s “The Bachelorette,” gaining notoriety for his strained relationship with Aaron.
In 2023, Aaron initiated contact with his father during a Lake Tahoe golf event after years of limited communication. When he was inducted into the Pleasant Valley High School Hall of Fame, he invited his parents, expressing thankfulness for their support.
Brittani’s appearance continues to be an enigma; Rodgers wore a wedding ring during his first Steelers training camp, revealing they married in June 2025. He stressed conversations with Brittani enabled the family reunion, highlighting the couple’s multi-year dialogue.
Brittani’s influence extended to Rodgers playing another season with the Steelers. He cited discussions with her as a factor for returning, aside from new head coach Mike McCarthy’s leadership. Rodgers is entering his final season after 22 years in the league, with hopes of another successful run under McCarthy.
Last season, under coach Mike Tomlin, Rodgers helped the Steelers reach the playoffs with 3,322 passing yards and 24 touchdowns, though the team was defeated by the Houston Texans in the wild-card round.
