Armed Bystander Intervenes in Twin Falls Shooting Incident

An armed bystander exchanged gunfire with a shooter during a deadly incident at an In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho. This occurred on a Saturday afternoon, according to an eyewitness cited in multiple reports.

Lane Koehn informed the Associated Press of the event, describing how he witnessed a man with an AR-style rifle appear near the drive-thru. Another individual, armed with a handgun, responded by firing at the assailant. This action, as Koehn noted, forced the shooter to seek cover.

The man with the pistol didn’t leave after the exchange. Instead, he provided aid to an injured In-N-Out employee until paramedics arrived. According to Koehn’s statement to the New York Times, the person with the handgun was described as “an older gentleman,” whose actions caused the younger shooter to retreat.

Three individuals lost their lives in this tragedy, and at least seven others sustained injuries. Authorities later discovered the suspect deceased. The investigation into the motive is ongoing.
