Authorities have charged a man with using a California pizza restaurant to sell large amounts of methamphetamine. Kawal Preet Singh, a 50-year-old Indian national living illegally in the United States, faces federal drug and firearm charges. Prosecutors claim he used the Round Table Pizza restaurant in Dinuba, approximately 30 miles southeast of Fresno, for drug distribution.
During a search, federal agents allegedly found over 40 pounds of methamphetamine, three firearms, and more than $10,000 in cash linked to Singh. He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment and is not currently in custody.
The employee involved in the reported incident had worked at this location for approximately one and a half months.
Round Table Pizza’s parent company, FAT Brands, stated that the restaurant was independently owned. Local owners reportedly had no prior knowledge of the illegal activities and are cooperating with authorities.
The investigation began in May, targeting Indian organized crime in California’s Central Valley. Agents executed search warrants on Singh’s residence and business on August 18. They allegedly discovered roughly 13.8 kilograms of methamphetamine at Singh’s home and another 4.9 kilograms in his vehicle.
Federal prosecutors charge Singh with methamphetamine distribution, possession with intent to distribute, and firearm possession in connection to drug trafficking. If convicted, he faces at least ten years in federal prison on the drug charges and an additional five years for the firearm charge. Singh’s next court appearance is scheduled for November 4.
The charges remain allegations, and Singh is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
