Darline Graham Sworn In as Interim South Carolina Senator
Chad Pergram from Fox News reported the swearing-in of Darline Graham Nordone as the interim U.S. senator for South Carolina. This follows the sudden passing of her brother, Lindsey Graham. Darline Graham now holds the distinction of being the first female senator from South Carolina and the first sister of a lawmaker appointed to the Senate.
On Monday night, Darline will be interviewed by Sean Hannity on his show, ‘Hannity,’ marking her first media appearance since her appointment and her brother’s death. She plans to talk about her brother’s legacy and her path forward in public service.
Governor Henry McMaster appointed Darline to complete her brother’s term. President Donald Trump supported her selection, and Senator Tim Scott engaged with her multiple times before they jointly appeared in Columbia, South Carolina. Governor McMaster highlighted Lindsey’s care for his sister and expressed pride in asking her to complete his work.
Lindsey Graham passed away in Washington, D.C., at age 71. Just a day before, he returned from Kyiv, where he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. They discussed additional sanctions against Russia. The Chief Medical Examiner’s preliminary findings indicate that Lindsey Graham’s death resulted from an aortic dissection due to arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease. Further testing is pending to confirm this.
Sean Hannity, known for interviewing a wide array of public figures, including world leaders and celebrities, will add Darline Graham to his list with this exclusive interview.
