Fatal Hit-and-Run Incident in Chicago
A tragic hit-and-run collision claimed the life of a 64-year-old woman in Chicago’s South Shore neighborhood early Sunday morning. According to reports from the Chicago Police Department, the victim was a passenger in a dark-colored SUV traveling north on South Stony Island Avenue.
The incident occurred around 2:42 a.m. when the SUV was struck by a dark-colored sedan. Following the collision, the driver of the sedan abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot, leaving the victim without assistance. She was pronounced dead at the crash site.
No other injuries have been reported, and authorities have not made any arrests in connection with the accident. The case is currently under active investigation by the police.
