FBI Embraces UFC Training as Part of Unique White House Event
The FBI has undergone a transformation, reminiscent of a UFC training camp, as Washington gears up to host a unique sporting spectacle at the White House. The agency has teamed up with the UFC, training approximately 300 federal agents in hand-to-hand combat prior to the UFC Freedom 250. This collaboration was highlighted in a video released on Wednesday.
FBI Director Kash Patel expressed gratitude for the partnership with the UFC on his social media account. He shared footage of the training sessions, stating, “Thanks to the great partnership with @ufc, we’ve seen about 300 agents come through and learn amazing tactics so they can safeguard American lives.” The sessions aim to enhance the agents’ skills in protecting citizens.
FBI DIRECTOR KASH PATEL SEEKS RELATIONSHIP WITH UFC: REPORT
Images of UFC lightweight contender Justin Gaethje at UFC 300 in Las Vegas accompanied the announcement. Gaethje contributed to the training of FBI agents earlier this year at the Special Agent Academy in Quantico, Virginia. The newly released footage includes Gaethje using the FBI Headquarters facilities to prepare for his upcoming match against Ilia Topuria at UFC Freedom 250.
President Donald Trump met with UFC fighters Ilia Topuria, Justin Gaethje, and Ciryl Gane in the Oval Office on May 6, 2026. They discussed the upcoming UFC Freedom 250 scheduled for June 14, which will take place outside the White House. Fighters are expected to use the Eisenhower Executive Office Building as locker rooms before entering “The Claw,” an octagonal structure set up on the South Lawn for the event.
The partnership reflects a unique collaboration facilitated by the close connection between FBI Director Kash Patel and UFC President Dana White. The FBI’s Rapid Response team echoed this sentiment, calling the collaboration between elite fighters and top law enforcement officers a notable achievement.
Travis Pastrana, known for his thrilling stunts, is also preparing a surprise performance to kick off the main card broadcast. A video posted by Dana White suggested that the stunt might include Pastrana flipping his dirt bike over the South Lawn.
An event of this nature, featuring federal agents training with UFC fighters and a UFC event at the White House, seemed unlikely just a few years ago. Now, it’s the most sought-after event of the weekend.
