Francesca Hong’s Campaign Focuses on Key Local Issues
Francesca Hong, a democratic socialist campaigning for the position of governor, is known for her critical stance on Israel. However, she has not emphasized this topic as much as other similar candidates across the nation.
During a primary debate in Milwaukee on July 28, Hong highlighted her platform. The debate took place in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, amid an energetic rally on Sunday, attended by many supporters in a packed high school gymnasium.
Hong addressed significant issues affecting Wisconsin residents. She spoke passionately about the challenges posed by increasing health care costs and the repercussions of budget cuts in public school funding. Additionally, she expressed concerns over the construction of data centers and the operations of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
