The use of new weight-loss medications has significantly increased among U.S. adults. According to a recent Gallup poll, 11 percent of adults in the United States report currently using these medications to help lose weight. This is a notable rise from 3 percent in 2024.
The survey, conducted online with 5,065 participants, further revealed that 15 percent of U.S. adults have used GLP-1 medications for weight loss at some point. This data highlights a growing trend in the use of these drugs, including medications like Ozempic and Mounjaro.

The increase in usage suggests a rising interest and reliance on pharmaceutical solutions for weight management among the population.
