Jessie Cave, widely known for her role in the ‘Harry Potter’ series, has revealed how OnlyFans provided significant financial relief for her and her family. In a conversation with The Times, the 39-year-old actress discussed her earnings from the subscription-based platform, emphasizing, “I’ve made more, easily, in a year than my entire acting career.”

Cave initially anticipated earning a modest sum, expressing, “I expected to make about $5,000 and stay on it for a few months. It was meant to give me some breathing space.” However, over a year and a half later, the income from OnlyFans has become vital for her and her family’s wellbeing.

Her OnlyFans content is non-explicit, focusing on ‘hair content’. Priced at $6 a month, subscribers can view footage of Cave dressed in costumes, engaging in various hair-related activities like brushing or braiding her hair. This unique niche proved more lucrative than her past acting roles, including her portrayal of Lavender Brown in the concluding ‘Harry Potter’ films.

The shift to OnlyFans stemmed from financial necessity and a failed callback audition. Cave needed to support her four children, whom she shares with her fiancé, Alfie Brown. “It was a period of complete desperation,” she noted. Conventional employment wasn’t feasible, partly because of her public identity associated with ‘Harry Potter’.

According to the interview, Cave reported earning around $20,200 in a single day on the platform. Her OnlyFans rule is that “the hair is the main character,” which she uses to justify the content she creates.

While OnlyFans is often linked to adult content, Cave highlighted that it offers a range of posts, from cooking demos to tarot readings, with varying levels of seduction. She acknowledged the personal appeal behind her choice, saying, “After having four children and feeling invisible for so long, the experience was enticing.”

Looking ahead, Cave believes more artists might explore alternative avenues for additional income during less active creative periods.

Her original decision to try out OnlyFans happened in March 2025, driven by debt and the need to fund home repairs. Through her Substack account, she shared, “I aim to cover our home’s repair costs and to grow personally, proving I’m more than the ‘sweet’ image others held of me.”
