LePage’s Criticism and GOP Strategy
Former Governor Paul LePage, running for the GOP in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District, criticized Matt Dunlap, Democrat nominee, for his connections to Platner. According to LePage, Dunlap was too closely aligned with Platner and other progressives like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
