Good morning from Screencaps headquarters. An unexpected visit from a contractor disrupted my morning routine today. At 7:55 a.m., without prior notice, a third-party contractor arrived to install a smart meter. The power was cut for an hour.
I confronted one of the workers. He claimed to have knocked, but I was working and our dogs were calm. They would have reacted to a knock. This incident raises an important question: Shouldn’t consumers receive a courtesy knock before their power is cut, especially before 8 a.m.?
Reconsidering Participation in Power Saver Programs
Furthermore, I have concerns about smart meters and thermostats. Homeowners may face limitations, such as setting an air conditioner to a specific temperature. These devices might not serve homeowners’ interests.
I’m addressing these issues candidly this morning.

Fashion Media Trends and Their Impact
Recently, I’ve been fascinated by Sports Illustrated’s evolution. Claire Kittle, a favorite of Screencaps, made her debut in their swimsuit issue. In the past, SI’s editors focused on featuring diverse models, including transgender models, believing it was a strategic business decision. The inclusion of Claire Kittle marks a shift, aligning with popular public figures.
Interestingly, lingerie companies are thriving as the industry adjusts. Victoria’s Secret reported strong financial performance recently, suggesting a shift in consumer preferences.
That’s all for this morning. I’m dealing with the electrical contractors who left our power off and the box open. It hasn’t improved my mood.
Have a great day.
