Race for Chris Pappas’s New Hampshire Seat

Democratic Rep. Chris Pappas’s decision to pursue a Senate seat has left his New Hampshire congressional seat vacant, triggering a competitive race to fill the position.

Republicans are particularly eager to seize this opportunity in hopes of flipping the seat to their side.

On the Democratic front, several high-profile candidates have entered the race. Maura Sullivan stands out as a prominent candidate. She is a Marine Corps veteran and has experience as a former official in the Obama administration.

Others vying for the seat include Stefany Shaheen. She has served as a member of the Portsmouth City Council and is the daughter of Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, who represents New Hampshire in the Senate.
