The Seattle Seahawks aim to secure their status as NFC West champions once more. Predictions for the upcoming 2026/27 NFL season suggest the Seahawks will maintain their strong form to defend their title. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Chargers have their sights set on surpassing the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West, positioning themselves as frontrunners.
Football Talk Friday analyst Danny Parkins sheds light on these anticipated shifts within the divisions. Parkins foresees the Seahawks continuing their championship streak, while expecting the Chargers to emerge victorious over the established dominance of the Chiefs.
Alongside, Nick Wright, Chris Broussard, Kevin Wildes, and Greg Jennings discuss pertinent topics. Their conversation includes debating Josh Allen’s ranking as the NFL’s top quarterback and evaluating Caleb Williams’ potential impact as a leader for the Chicago Bears.
Off the field, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Keenan Allen faces legal issues due to his recent arrest on drunk driving charges prior to the season’s start. Allen has been charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, as well as endangering others, both misdemeanors in Indiana.
“Allen’s blood alcohol level measured at .224 during the arrest, significantly exceeding the legal limit of .08,” reports Yahoo Sports.
Such high intoxication levels are categorized as a Class A misdemeanor in Indiana.
The NFL’s substance-abuse policy mandates a minimum three-game suspension for such violations, with potentially longer suspensions for severe intoxication.
The league awaits the outcome of Allen’s legal proceedings before determining any disciplinary actions. An attorney conference scheduled for October 26 may influence the timing of any suspension.
Despite these issues, Allen will feature in the Colts’ Week 2 clash against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. At 34, Allen continues his NFL journey in his first season with the Colts following a one-year contract signed during the offseason.
Keenan Allen’s NFL career is highlighted by a prominent tenure with the Los Angeles Chargers, spanning 12 seasons. His star rose with the Chargers, who he returned to last season to catch 81 passes for 77 yards and four touchdowns. The receiver’s career includes a stint with the Chicago Bears in 2024.
Allen remains active, engaging in training drills with the Colts during joint practice with the Atlanta Falcons.
