Son of Actor’s Girlfriend Arrested for Alleged Murder

The son of actor James Handy’s girlfriend has been apprehended for allegedly being involved in the actor’s death, according to the authorities.
Michael Gledhill, aged 44, was detained on suspicion of murder, as stated by the Los Angeles Police Department. The department reported the arrest on Thursday.
Police responded to a radio call reporting ‘unknown trouble’ at the 19200 block of Erwin Street in Tarzana, Los Angeles. This occurred around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, following a 911 call where the caller said, ‘I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin.’
Upon arrival, officers discovered Handy, 81, lying in the front yard, unconscious and suffering from a stab wound to his chest. Emergency services took him to the hospital, but he was declared dead shortly after.
Gledhill approached the officers at the scene, claiming he was the individual they were seeking. Subsequently, he was arrested and taken to Van Nuys Jail. His bail was determined to be $2 million. Police noted that Gledhill resides at the home with his mother.
James Handy was known for his roles in films such as Arachnophobia, Jumanji, and Top Gun: Maverick.
