President Donald Trump has escalated tensions with Iran, warning the country of potential renewed conflict over its nuclear program. He insists Iran comply with his terms or face serious consequences. Iran has rejected these demands, standing firm against the United States’ pressure.
In a recent social media post, Trump declared that Iran must act swiftly, ominously stating that time is running out. This follows similar warnings issued over the past two months, none of which have been enforced yet.
Negotiations between the United States and Iran have stalled, with Trump repeatedly threatening military action unless Iran concedes in talks. The core of the disagreement involves Iran’s uranium enrichment program and the control of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital passage for global oil and gas shipments. Disruptions in this region have significantly impacted oil markets worldwide.
On Monday, Iran submitted another counterproposal to the United States. The Iranian foreign ministry confirmed that negotiations continue, facilitated by Pakistan. This mediation aims to break the current deadlock between the two nations.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Esmaeil Baghaei, responded to Trump’s threats, offering reassurance by stating, “Don’t worry, we know very well how to respond.” Iranian officials have consistently warned of strong retaliation if the United States or Israel attacks them again.
