The Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Opens in North Dakota
This year marks a significant addition to the legacy of the 26th President of the United States with the inauguration of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library. Situated in the Badlands of North Dakota, this landscape played a pivotal role in shaping his lifelong dedication to conservation efforts.
Senior arts correspondent Jeffrey Brown explored this tribute in the latest segment of the arts and culture series, CANVAS. With over 30 years in the field, Brown’s journalistic career at the News Hour includes roles as co-anchor, studio moderator, and field reporter. His assignments have touched on a broad spectrum of both national and international matters, bringing him around the country and across the globe.
As an arts correspondent, Brown has profiled numerous prominent figures in literature, music, acting, and other artistic disciplines. His notable contributions to the News Hour include the series ‘Culture at Risk,’ which addresses endangered cultural heritage globally and within the United States, as well as the News Hour’s online platform ‘Art Beat.’ Additionally, he hosts the monthly book club ‘Now Read This,’ a partnership with The New York Times.
Mike Fritz, the deputy senior producer for field segments at PBS NewsHour, also contributes to the coverage of this remarkable project.
