Virginia’s Upcoming Opening of Recreational Marijuana Market

Virginia is set to launch its legal marketplace for recreational marijuana in July of next year. Until this market officially opens, legislators predict the “illicit market will fill the void,” as remarked by one lawmaker.

Recently, a significant seizure took place at a smoke shop in Woodbridge called Rat Pack Clubhouse. According to the Prince William County police, thousands of grams of marijuana, THC products, magic mushrooms, and other substances were confiscated.

Authorities were alerted when FedEx’s security team flagged four suspicious packages. Upon inspection, these packages contained thousands of grams of marijuana and concentrated extracts, with an estimated value exceeding $450,000.
