White House Launches Online Arcade with Policy-Themed Games
The White House introduced an online arcade featuring games with a retro feel tied to President Donald Trump’s policies. Five new games have been released, including titles that highlight Trump’s achievements.
A White House representative shared with Newsweek that the administration is dedicated to finding innovative ways to communicate the President’s accomplishments to all Americans. They stated that the president consistently achieves victories for the public. According to the administration, the arcade project contrasts the administration’s positivity and success with what it describes as the opposition’s negative outlook.
Texas Democratic State Representative Jessica González criticized the move, stating on social media that the video games were prioritized over solving ongoing financial challenges faced by Americans.
Many households are dealing with rising costs. The median U.S. home price stands at about $430,000. Groceries have increased by roughly 30 percent since 2020, and gasoline prices are about 45 percent higher compared to the 2020 average. While the administration claims its policies help reduce costs and increase wealth, critics argue that families still face financial pressures.
What Is the White House Arcade?
The arcade section on the White House site features five retro-style games inspired by classic arcade titles. Each game ties into different aspects of the administration’s agenda.
What Games Are On The White House Arcade?
- Build the Wall: Similar to Tetris, players stack border wall sections to protect the country.
- Rio Run: Modeled after Snake, players guide border czar Tom Homan as he leads figures across a grid on the Rio Grande.
- Supply Line: Related to the Make America Healthy Again agenda. Players sort food on an assembly line, rejecting items that don’t meet school lunch standards.
- Flappy Bill: A bald eagle carries legislation across the National Mall while players avoid obstacles.
- Trump Savings Tycoon: Collect funds to contribute to Trump Accounts, a savings program for children born during Trump’s term.
Will There Be More Games On The White House Arcade?
The White House plans to introduce more games. The arcade page hints at a new title with a “Coming Soon” message: “A new adventure awaits.”
Where Is The White House Arcade?
The games can be played for free on the White House website.
What Are Trump Accounts?
Trump Accounts had over six million requests by July 6 after the program’s launch. These accounts are available for U.S. citizens under 18. Kids born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, qualify for a one-time $1,000 seed investment from the government. Families can add to these accounts, which invest in U.S. stock market index funds.
What Is Make America Healthy Again?
The MAHA initiative, led by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., targets ultra-processed foods and additives in the U.S. food supply. The FDA collaborates with food manufacturers to switch from petroleum-based synthetic dyes to natural alternatives. This reform aims to identify and address the causes of chronic diseases.
What’s Happening at the Border?
Recent data from the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Customs and Border Protection indicate a decrease in border crossings. Border Patrol reported 9,295 apprehensions along the southwest border in July, a 6 percent drop from June. Immigration enforcement is a central part of Trump’s agenda, with ongoing efforts in deportations, detention expansion, and border wall construction.
