This service offers an alternative to the traditional 911 emergency number, designed specifically to address mental health needs. The hotline allows individuals to either call or text for assistance.
How the 988 Hotline Works

- BlackLine: Provides a hotline dedicated to the Black, Black LGBTQ+, brown, Native, and Muslim communities.
- Kiva Centers: Hosts daily online peer support groups.
- M.H. First Oakland and M.H. First Sacramento: Offer services during select weekend hours in the cities of Oakland and Sacramento, California.
