Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins of The Street Profits have emerged victorious as the new world tag team champions. They secured their titles by defeating Austin Theory and Bron Breakker on Monday Night Raw in London. This victory marks the fourth occasion they have held tag team gold in their careers as a duo.
The rivalry with The Vision had intensified following The Street Profits’ return to WWE television after WrestleMania 42. Their alliance with Seth Rollins proved advantageous despite any animosity between them. Logan Paul attempted to assist The Vision in retaining their titles by aiding Theory during the match. However, Paul’s interference prompted the referee to eject him from the match.
Paul’s disruption continued as he tried to pass brass knuckles to Theory. Joe Hendry intervened, breaking up the assist. At a crucial moment, Rollins entered the scene, distracting Breakker by music while covertly seizing the brass knuckles. He used the weapon against Theory and then evaded Breakker’s chase.
This strategic move left Theory vulnerable, allowing The Street Profits to launch a two-on-one offensive. Ford capitalized on the opportunity, pinning Theory and capturing the titles from The Vision. Breakker was infuriated as Rollins joined in the celebration of The Street Profits’ triumph.
The attention now shifts to the upcoming steel cage match at Night of Champions, where speculation arises about The Street Profits’ potential support for Rollins as he faces Breakker. The outcome of this alliance remains to be seen as tensions run high.
