Jennifer Lopez shared her perspective on what she finds most attractive in a man during her performance at the Dolce & Gabbana show in Taormina, Sicily. The 56-year-old singer and actress emphasized that true allure lies in simple acts of care.
“What really makes a man attractive is not the watch, the car, or the private jet. It’s seeing them make the bed or wash the dishes when you’re tired,” Lopez stated, adding, “That’s what I call sexy.” Her comments drew laughter and applause from the audience, as reported by People magazine.
During her performance, Lopez sang several hits, including “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” “Waiting For Tonight,” and “Let’s Get Loud.” She wore a dazzling bodysuit as she captivated the audience. In a playful moment, she bantered with a backup dancer, asserting her independence and value. “I have my own money. We don’t need anybody to buy us anything,” she remarked with a laugh.
Lopez also reflected on her past relationships, particularly her recent divorce from Ben Affleck. Speaking on SiriusXM’s “Howard Stern Show,” she described the 2024 divorce as a pivotal moment. “It was the best thing that ever happened to me,” she explained. She detailed the extensive personal work she undertook, involving therapy and self-discovery, to understand her experiences and emotions.
“I learned it’s not that I’m not lovable — it’s that they don’t have it in them,” she explained, adding that while past partners gave her everything they could, it wasn’t enough to fulfill her deeper needs.
Lopez has been married four times, including to Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014 and to Affleck from 2022 to 2024. She expressed a sense of peace and self-awareness following her divorce, noting the importance of understanding her own experiences and appreciating who she is.
Lopez concluded, “Now I feel comfortable and good in being myself, with all the good parts and the complicated things.” Her journey highlights the significance of self-reflection and personal growth in finding fulfillment and attraction beyond material possessions.
