Trump Assures No Arrest for Netanyahu in the U.S.
President Donald Trump publicly stated on Monday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would not face arrest during his visit to the United States. This declaration came after New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani considered the possibility of Netanyahu being detained by city police. Mamdani had previously mentioned evaluating the enforcement of an international court’s arrest warrant against the Israeli leader.
This pronouncement by Trump occurred following a meeting with Netanyahu at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida. During a news conference, Trump emphasized that Netanyahu would not be subjected to any form of arrest while on U.S. soil.
