Barry Manilow was forced to cancel his Kentucky concert just 45 minutes before it was set to begin due to unforeseen circumstances. The 82-year-old singer, who announced a lung cancer diagnosis last year, shared the news on X, leaving fans with no further explanation.

In December, Manilow had revealed his early-stage lung cancer diagnosis after a cancerous spot was found on his left lung following a prolonged bronchitis episode. “After weeks of bronchitis, my doctor ordered an MRI, which revealed the cancerous spot,” he explained on Instagram. “Thankfully, it was caught early.”

Despite canceling May’s “Hits Come Home” residency dates in Las Vegas, Manilow shared positive updates about his health. “Good news! I’m making great progress,” he wrote on X, mentioning his commitment to training and exercise. However, his doctor advised against returning to Vegas shows, though he should be ready for UK performances in June.
