Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-Wyo.) participated in a House Select Subcommittee on January 6, investigating the DNC and RNC pipe bombs. On Tuesday, Wyoming voters will choose Republican and Democratic candidates for the state’s at-large U.S. House seat.
Hageman aims for the Senate, leaving the House seat vacant. Numerous Republicans are vying for it in the deeply conservative state:
- Jillian Barlow, former Wyoming and Virginia Superintendent of Public Instruction
- Chuck Gray, Wyoming Secretary of State
- Bo Biteman, state Senate President
- Kevin Christensen and Richard Dodson, military veterans
- Steve Friess, conservative activist
- David Giralt, policy adviser for outgoing U.S. Sen. Cynthia Lummis
- Reid Rasner, businessman
- John Romero-Martinez, former state representative
Gray, who backed unfounded claims of election fraud in 2020, traveled to Arizona to review an audit of the presidential results in 2021. He secured his state’s Republican primary for Secretary of State in 2022 with support from President Trump, who has not endorsed a candidate in this race.
The Democratic primary features a contest between former state Senate Minority Leader Lisa F. Kinney and Elena del Real. Polls will close at 9 p.m. EDT.
