On Tuesday, Canada revealed plans to introduce new tariffs as a response to the U.S. tariffs imposed following unsuccessful trade discussions.
Starting September 8, Canadian tariffs on American steel and aluminum will increase, doubling from 25 percent to 50 percent. This announcement comes after the U.S. placed tariffs on Canada after trade negotiations failed to yield an agreement the previous week.
