The New York Giants faced a challenging game against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night. The team suffered a significant setback when starting quarterback Jaxson Dart exited the game in the first quarter with a sprained MCL.
The Giants’ woes were compounded when star wide receiver Malik Nabers experienced intense pain following an attempted reception from backup quarterback Jameis Winston. Medical staff attended to Nabers on the sideline, and he was initially listed as questionable to return.
In a fortunate turn for the Giants, Nabers managed to return in the second quarter. After the game, Nabers, aged 23, informed reporters that he had to maneuver his shoulder back into place before rejoining the action.
My shoulder’s okay. Gonna get an X-ray on it, see what’s going on. I was out there, trying to just come back out. We had lost [Jaxson Dart], so I didn’t want to give the team another loss,Nabers explained postgame.
Despite the return, Nabers had a limited impact, recording only a single catch for one yard as the Giants fell 28-6. The team now aims to recover and improve in their upcoming Week 3 matchup against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
