The Kansas City Chiefs have found a valuable asset in running back Kenneth Walker III, whose performance has been outstanding in the first four games of the 2026 NFL season.
Walker is currently leading the NFL in rushing with an impressive 537 yards. This achievement places him ahead of notable players like Bijan Robinson from Atlanta, James Cook from Buffalo, Derrick Henry from Baltimore, and Jonathan Taylor from Indianapolis. In addition, the previous Super Bowl MVP has scored four rushing touchdowns and caught 12 passes for 84 yards, adding two receiving touchdowns to his stats.
The 537 rushing yards accumulated by Walker are the highest recorded over the first four games of an NFL season in the last 15 years. The previous record of 534 yards was held by DeMarco Murray, who now acts as the Chiefs’ running backs coach.
Nothin’ like breaking your own coach’s record, the Chiefs commented on social media, celebrating Walker’s achievement.
Thanks to Walker’s outstanding contributions, the Chiefs have started the 2026 season with a 4-0 record. Their latest victory came against the division rival Las Vegas Raiders, just before the Chiefs enter their Week 5 bye.
The Kansas City Chiefs are set to return to action in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
