The NFL trade deadline is approaching. With less than a month left, there’s speculation about potential trades.
One team generating interest is the Cleveland Browns. NFL insider Jordan Schultz indicates the Browns might be willing to trade veteran wide receiver Jerry Jeudy. They seem to seek a third- or fourth-round pick in return.
Jeudy, now 27, joined the Browns in 2024 through a trade with the Denver Broncos. The Browns exchanged their 2024 fifth and sixth-round picks for him. Subsequently, Jeudy secured a three-year, $58 million contract extension.
Initially, Jeudy fulfilled expectations. In 2024, he achieved a career-high with 90 catches, 1,229 yards, and four touchdowns. However, in 2025, his performance declined significantly. This drop in productivity, alongside strong rookie performances from KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston, has made him less critical to the team.
Questions arise about teams that might show interest in Jeudy. Despite falling short of first-round expectations, he remains a skilled receiver. His career totals include 359 catches for 4,965 yards and 17 touchdowns.
What remains uncertain is whether a third- or fourth-round pick is excessive for a player whose peak performance may be past.
