Paris Chaos as PSG Victory Celebrations Turn Violent
At least 45 individuals faced arrest in Paris on Saturday following celebrations for Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League win spiraling into disorder. The situation involved fires, vandalism, and confrontations with law enforcement.
Authorities detained numerous people as crowds amassed across the city post-victory. Reports from The Associated Press indicate large gatherings near the Arc de Triomphe, with fans igniting flares and loudly honking car horns. Police worked diligently to manage thousands along the Champs-Élysées.

According to officials, a group made an attempt to breach a police station in the capital’s heart late Saturday. The Paris police prefecture reported that shops were vandalized, fires were set, and vehicles were torched amid the chaos. Both a bakery and a restaurant suffered damage during these events.
Authorities mentioned that at one point, a crowd obstructed the main ring road encircling the city, leading police to disperse the group. One officer sustained injuries during the incidents.
By 10 p.m. local time, police had arrested at least 45 individuals.
The celebrations ignited citywide following PSG’s triumph over Arsenal in a gripping Champions League final, marking a monumental success for the club on the European front.
