Super Bowl champion Russell Wilson announced his retirement on Wednesday. His wife, Ciara, reacted emotionally to the news.

Ciara, known for her singing and songwriting, has been married to Wilson for nearly ten years. She reflected on their journey together, expressing her pride and love on social media, saying, “The best in the world! There’s only one, 3!”

Wilson’s retirement comes after reports of him finalizing a deal to become an analyst with CBS Sports. He expressed excitement about joining ‘The NFL Today’ and continuing his passion for football. In his retirement video, Wilson thanked his family and friends for their support, especially Ciara, whom he described as his greatest blessing and best friend.

The 10-time Pro Bowl quarterback began his NFL career with the Seattle Seahawks. Drafted in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft, he played 10 seasons there, leading the team to a Super Bowl victory over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII.

The Seattle Seahawks traded Wilson to the Denver Broncos before the 2022 season. However, Wilson struggled to replicate his previous success in Denver. After two seasons, the Broncos released him, and Wilson played briefly with the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants before retiring.

Throughout his 14-season career, Wilson achieved a 121-80-1 career record. He completed 64.6% of his passes for 46,966 yards, with 353 touchdowns and 114 interceptions.
