Adam Copeland’s Debut at Arena México

Legendary wrestler Adam Copeland will compete in Arena México for the first time on Wednesday night. This opportunity arises during All Elite Wrestling’s (AEW) Grand Slam: Mexico event.

Copeland, alongside his tag team partner Christian Cage, who are AEW’s tag team champions, will join Matt and Nick Jackson in an eight-man tag team match. They will face Jon Moxley, Daniel Garcia, Pac, and Wheeler Yuta.

Reflecting on this opportunity, Copeland expressed his excitement on Instagram. ‘Tonight I get to perform for the first time in The Wrestling Cathedral, Arena Mexico,’ he shared. ‘The last time I had a match in Mexico was 2008. Adam Copeland has long aspired to perform in Arena México, listing it as a top venue alongside Wembley Stadium in London, Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, and the Tokyo Dome in Japan. AEW’s upcoming event, All In, may allow him to check Wembley Stadium off his list soon.

Copeland and Christian Cage won the AEW World Tag Team Championship at the Double or Nothing event in Queens, New York, during a challenging I Quit match against FTR. The duo plans to enter Wembley Stadium as champions if no formidable challengers arise.
