ESPN insider Adam Schefter is set to rejoin NFL Network’s “The Insiders” on a weekly basis this fall. Schefter originally rose to prominence as an NFL insider with NFL Network from 2004 until 2009 before making the move to ESPN.
His return to “The Insiders” marks his first appearance on the network after a 17-year hiatus. This collaboration follows ESPN’s acquisition of NFL Network, which included a 10% equity stake for the NFL in ESPN.
“The Insiders” has been a key program on NFL Network, traditionally led by Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero, and Mike Garafolo. Pelissero recently opted to join The Ringer and Netflix, leaving his role as a co-host. Sources indicate Schefter will likely co-host “The Insiders” on Wednesdays during the NFL season.
ESPN’s integration with NFL Network will also feature other ESPN talent. Reporters Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano are slated to co-host the show occasionally this fall. Additionally, NFL Network figures like Rapoport, Stacey Dales, Cynthia Frelund, Steve Smith, Kyle Brandt, and Gerald McCoy will appear on ESPN programs.
Molly McGrath and Mina Kimes are expected to make appearances on NFL Network, including on Sunday pregame shows. In the broader context, Adam Schefter recently signed a multi-year contract extension with ESPN, securing his role ahead of ESPN’s first Super Bowl broadcast in February.
Within this collaboration, ESPN and NFL Network insiders will feature prominently on shows such as “Get Up,” “SportsCenter,” and “The Pat McAfee Show.” Their involvement is part of a strategic approach to intertwine talent across both platforms.
