Allegations of Obstruction in School Investigation
A father claims that staff at a Washington D.C. elementary school have hindered his family’s participation in an investigation. The incident involves their son, Kuvel Brown, who was 6 years old at the time.
In August, Duvel Brown and Lakeia Miller posed for a photograph with their son Kuvel Brown, now 8. Two years ago, Miller received a call from her son’s school principal while she was working at a Dollar General store.
The principal informed her that a teacher had allegedly struck her son in the face, assuring her that the situation was being handled. Miller found this news distressing and expected a thorough inquiry into the matter.
