Americans Missing After Himalayan Disaster

Officials and relatives revealed that many of the Americans who have been missing since Wednesday were on a trek to Mount Kailash. This mountain is located in Tibet and holds significant spiritual value for Hindus and Buddhists.

On Thursday, a police officer, accompanied by a sniffer dog, surveyed the destruction in Devighat, situated in Nepal’s Nuwakot district. The situation unfolded as a terrifying surge of muddy water, ice, and debris swept through the Himalayan valleys straddling the Nepal-Tibet border.

Several individuals were undertaking a spiritual pilgrimage to this revered site when the disaster struck.
