During an NFC wild-card playoff game in Charlotte against the Carolina Panthers, Los Angeles Rams’ Matthew Stafford impressed by throwing a critical pass. EA Sports ranked Stafford slightly ahead of Allen in their quarterback evaluations.
Joe Burrow followed closely with a rating of 97. Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens and Patrick Mahomes were also highly rated, with Jackson just above Mahomes, who received a 93. Jared Goff from the Detroit Lions completed the top 10 with an 88 rating.
The 99 Club also includes Ja’Marr Chase and Jaxon Smith-Njigba as wide receivers, Myles Garrett as a defensive end, and Trey McBride as a tight end.
Smith-Njigba, after contributing to the Seattle Seahawks’ Super Bowl title win, secured a historic contract extension. Chase continues to shine, consistently surpassing 1,000 receiving yards since his 2021 debut. Other notable receivers in the top five include Puka Nacua, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Justin Jefferson. Mike Evans, who moved from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the San Francisco 49ers, rounds out the list.
Jahmyr Gibbs from the Detroit Lions leads the running backs with a 98 rating, followed closely by Christian McCaffrey at 97. Jonathan Taylor and Bijan Robinson join them with solid performances at 95, with Kyren Williams in the top 10.
Caleb Williams, despite being featured on the Madden NFL 27 cover, plans to enhance his rating. He targets joining the 99 Club, focusing on increasing his completion percentage and maintaining a clean record.
The game’s worldwide release is set for August 13, with early access available for MVP+ members.
On the team front, the Rams boast the highest game rating of 93 overall.
